lives and works in Gwinear and has been turning wood for 30 years.
He is one of the few people still making hand-turned lace bobbins.
Dave uses hardwoods and bone and decorates the bobbins with intricate inlays and patterns,
often using Swarovski crystals or brass and sterling silver inserts or cleverly cut out hoops of wood.
He also makes bowls of all types, trinket boxes, pepper pots and spinning wheels.
He enjoys taking a log that might have ended up on the fire and
changing it into something both beautiful and useful.
